The Connect Method

Our unique framework that has people, families and relationships at it's centre

What is The Connect Method?

The Connect Method™ blends evidence-based cognitive stimulation, therapy strategies, sensory approaches, and strengths-based principles to support cognitive wellbeing, connection, and participation in everyday life for people and families living with dementia.

Through simple therapist-guided programs, we empower people to understand dementia and learn what they can do to support both their loved one and themselves. Our practical, person-centered guidance helps build carer confidence, support daily participation, and encourage meaningful engagement - all focused on continuing to live well despite the diagnosis.

The Connect Method

Our programs are all guided by The Connect Method™ and are designed to help families feel less overwhelmed, more confident, and better supported, when dementia is a part of life.

We break complex information down into simple terms, and provide clear, practical guidance to help you move forward, create action

Rather than adding more information, The Connect Method™ brings clarity to what matters most and supports meaningful action at home.

Rather than adding more information, the Connect Method helps bring clarity to what matters most and supports practical action at home.

We focus on five essential connections:

  • Connection to Self & Strengths - preserving confidence

  • Connection with Family & Friends - maintaining relationships

  • Connection with Support Teams  - building your circle of care

  • Connection within the Brain - supporting cognitive function

  • Connection with Community - preventing isolation

The Connect Method™ helps families:

  • create enjoyable, meaningful conversations and shared moments

  • support communication and participation in everyday life

  • build confidence in how to engage at home

  • focus on strengths while gently supporting areas that feel harder

  • feel clearer, calmer, and more capable in daily routines

  • nurture wellbeing and connection within the family

  • recognise what supports a person to continue living well

The Science behind the Connect Method

The Connect Method™ is grounded in recognised, evidence-informed approaches used to support people living with dementia.

It brings together key principles from Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST)*, neuroscience, physiotherapy, and sensory engagement, and translates them into clear, practical ways families and support teams can use in daily life.

Developed from over 20 years of experience in neuro-rehabilitation and advanced training in dementia and health leadership, The Connect Method™ turns research into everyday strategies that feel realistic, meaningful, and supportive for everyone.
